Obvious reference is made to Andy Warhols soup cans, but updated with stickers, claims, warnings, and promises. Even though the slogans have been taken from or inspired by actual items, there is an aspect of desperation and surrealism in the repetition. The product is obscured by the invitation.
The images are planned by using image editing software to combine hand-drawn elements, text, colors, and shapes to achieve the appearance of overlapping labels wrapped around a round cylinder. Next, each image is screenprinted onto flat paper, then cut to shape.
