The world is full of sad, unfortunate, and unforeseeable circumstances such as death, disaster, and bankruptcy. I present these events as a series of toys because the format supports an accessible, humorous, and unexpected pairing.

I use the modular building blocks from my childhood as a visual vocabulary to make observations about adulthood. Ultimately, my images juxtapose the tragic with the playful as a way to cope with the experiences of adult life.
